Kinda reminds me of Meyer saying she is anti-human. It explains a LOT of those books, really. As the only "awesome" people are non-human.

But yeah, I kinda agree. If you hate humans just for being human... there tends to be issues there. (Don't get me wrong, humans can suck. But we can be mindblowingly awesome too. To hate humans across the board often falls over into 'cynical like whoa' territory for me.)

I've never understood why people would essentially hate humanity just because we're not 'special'; personally, the fact that we've come so far without any special powers and such a short lifespan is pretty amazing to me, and we keep growing by leaps and bounds. I mean, within 100 years we went from barely having any motorized transportation at all to going to the freaking MOON. Yes, we've still got some things to iron out in terms of equality and peace, but for the most part, we're still moving forwards.

As for hating the humans in Transformers G1/Transformers in general...I don't get that either. Some fans whine about there being so much squishy in their robot cartoon, but one of the reason I love Transformers is the relationship between two species that are completely different, but still have things in common! They learn from each other and work together side by side; isn't that a good thing?

The only thing I wish in G1 was that we got a more equal dose of all the humans. A few less episodes with Spike/Carly co-starring and give them to Sparkplug, Chip, Raoul or even Astoria for more character development. Or have the various humans all meeting, and having to come together to help the Autobots. I think there would have been some very interesting personality clashes between the 5 younger humans...

I dislike most of the humans because they do nothing but take screen time away from the bots. Or derp around wearing hardhats. G1 is G1. (Chip chase and Raoul are okay, though. I guess.)

Sorry, but anyone who doesn't like Chip Chase even though he can tear a floppy disc in half with his bear hands is clearly batshit.

As for me, I don't particularly hate the humans, I just find them really, really tired and boring. You know, in a show about alien robots with their own society where all sorts of new ideas can be explored, there's the same worn out storyline in every single adaptation - human accidentally bumps into Autobot, human's safety instantly becomes Autobot's top priority despite whatever else they might have been doing, Autobots must protect humans from Decepticons. Yawn.

I love how in the TF fandom pretty much everybody hates our own race. I don't know why. I just do.

But I'm pretty neutral on most of the G1 humans--Raoul and Astoria make me laugh, Spike, Carly, Sparkplug, and Daniel make me want to look up fluffly family fics on FF.net, and the others are. . .okay. If I was any of them, I'd probably have gone screaming in the other direction the first time I met the 'Bots or 'Cons.

The humans in G1 or Animated never bothered me. I wasn't very fond of them, but they were okay.

The humans in Prime however... oh god. They all get on my nerves except Jack's mum. She's awesome.

Raoul bothers me for the racefail stereotypes, but my main issue about humans in TF is the whole thing Hasbro keeps insisting that we need humans to relate to. I like the pairings where the robots and humans interact, but not when the story becomes *about* the humans.

So, OP do you hate me for that?
