I think they'd have SUCH a great dynamic if explored properly! I mean, I'm really looking forward to Tony and Steve (I hope the whole 'yeah I was totes pals with the dad you hated lol' aspect is brought up) but Tony and Thor's relationship ought to be so interesting and potentially hilarious :)

I want to see Thor interact and be awesome with everyone. Tony obviously has a strong personality, but there was something about the trailer that made me slightly worried that they're going to pull a Batman with him, where he gets all the best lines and gets to regularly diss Superman Steve to prove how cool he is. But Thor should just be running around clapping people hard enough on the shoulder to make them slam into things and laughing inappropriately whenever everyone tries to be serious because he could totally take on that global threat with one hand tied behind his back.

idk, the info that they decided to make the movie from cap's pov made me think they are actually *trying* not to turn it into iron-man 2 1/2. they'll be forcing the audience to see things from steve's perspective rather than going with a neutral pov, which would most likely lead to the overwhelming majority of the audience automatically favoring the cool, sassy, self-made hero played by the most charismatic actor.

the cap pov thing tells me that at least there was an effort to level the playing field rather than just letting RDJ run the show (he probably will, tho, anyway).

You have said everything I wanted to say. Thor's golden-retriever-ness is honestly one the best aspects of his character and I hope he gets to do a bit more than be the standard "big guy".

There have been a few articles where Joss has stated that he had to convince RDJ to take a step back, and he purposely didn't include Stark in as much of a featured role as RDJ wanted, because he didn't want it to be Iron Man 3. So I don't think Tony will be too overwhelming, and like someone else said, the film's going to be mainly from Steve's perspective.

I agree anon, although I also like Tony/Steve. I'm pretty much a multi-shipper in the Marvel movie fandom. I can't think of a ship I don't like, at least so far. Mostly, there needs to be more Thor-centric fics. Loki is awesome and all, but the fandom needs more Thor. Thor is awesome.

Tony+Thor is my friendship OTP in the comics-verse, for sure. I really REALLY hope they get along well in the movie and have some fun scenes together. That would just make me so happy. Their dynamic in the comics is so wonderful <3

I have never read an Avengers comic, but I have to admit, I will be paying close attention to Thor and Tony.

And it may be due to my aversion to popular OTPs (most of the time. there are exceptions) but I'm just not at all interested or excited over Steve/Tony.

But MAN if I'm not already semi-shipping Thor/Tony. And this is coming from a diehard Movie!Tony/!Pepper fan. :3

Actually, ScarJo told Cosmo that "There is no romance", so maybe Clint and Natasha have some UST, but get to stand on their own, too. I hope. Clint may not get talked about so much because he only had a cameo in Thor and therefore the least-seen of the main characters, so he wouldn't be a big draw it this point. He'll probably have some stuff to do.
