I've always had a pretty big selfcest kink, but I think the real appeal is that even though they look alike, their personalities seem pretty different. Also, the way Nimoy sometimes talks about Spock in interviews makes me think if he somehow got the chance, he would totally hit that.

I've been kind of hesitating about requesting it because I don't have much of an idea for a scenario to go with the pairing and because I wasn't sure what would be the appropriate place to ask for a real!person/fictional!character pairing, since those memes are mostly designated for one or the other. Any idea which might be the best place to try?

Regarding your comment below, thanks for the recs! There's never enough Spock/Bones. (But damn, now that you mention it, I could really go for Nimoy/McCoy too. McCoy would be so weirded out at this random human who looks like Spock)

I love the idea of McCoy seeing a Human that looks like Spock! And what if said human made the moves on McCoy and McCoy is so okay with it (because he secretly wants Spock). I want to see jealous, possessive, claiming Spock, McCoy being all "But I thought you hated me", and have it end with sex. Hell, I might have to request this my damned self. Or write it (but for reboot).

I suggest requesting the fic in all of the places. You never know. It has both rpf and the characters so it kinda fits in both places. Make the prompt general perhaps? Something like TOS!McCoy/Leonard Nimoy, A Spock look alike makes the moves on McCoy. McCoy is weirded out.

AH, I'm sorry. I was actually talking about requesting a Nimoy/Spock fic, which is what I meant in the secret. I didn't realize that I wanted a Nimoy/McCoy fic till you mentioned it. xD

If I request a Nimoy/Spock fic, would you be interested in me linking it here? If you do end up requesting or writing that Bones/human!Spockelganger, whether for reboot or TOS, I'd love to see it.

Oh, hey, when you mentioned Quinto/Spock, I remembered that I once read a fic of that, and I just found it. It's Resonance by ewinfic (http://ewinfic.livejournal.com/90877.html)

It's very trippy, and very short, but pretty fascinating. Sadly, it's the only fic I've found of that pairing.

Also, I haven't read it yet but in my search I found a fic that has ZQ/McCoy and ends with Spock/McCoy.

I've seen a Sylar/Kirk where Sylar took over Spock's body to get to Kirk. I never read it. It's somewhere in heroescrossover.

There was a self cest scene I found while reading a Kirk/Spock fic. In efforts to rescue Kirk, Spock encounters Mirror Spock and Mirror Spock sexually stimulates him. Have you read I Am Not Spock (http://www.amazon.com/Am-Not-Spock-Leonard-Nimoy/dp/1568496915/) by Leonard Nimoy? Because that is basically what the book is all about. It is perhaps unfortunately titled, because people who only know the title think it means Leonard Nimoy hated being Spock. In fact, it is just the opposite. The title sort of has the meaning of I am not Spock...so why do I hear his voice in my head all the time? I am not Spock...but I occupy the same space as him, and he's closer than a brother to me.

Nimoy even writes out several imaginary conversations he has with Spock. So...since you ship them...perhaps you'd enjoy this source material.

I have read I Am Spock, but I didn't like it as much. It's not a bad book, but to me I Am Not Spock was more compelling and immediate, and had more of a playfulness, especially with the imaginary conversations. I Am Spock is more of a conventional autobiography, and Nimoy spends quite a bit of time explaining that yes, he does like Spock, and giving details of what led to the misunderstandings. Also, he spends time talking about the Star Trek movies and other events in his life after I Am Not Spock was written. His perspective is different in the two books given the decades in between them. I'm not sorry I read I Am Spock, but it didn't make as strong an impression on me as I Am Not Spock. I wonder if part of the reason for that is that he got burned for being playful in the first book. He adopts a carefully straightforward and partly apologetic tone in I Am Spock, and tells the stories like he's told them many times before, and has more distance from the events. The distance allows other insights though, so it's not all bad.

In both of them, Nimoy comes off as being a genuinely nice human being. I've read some autobiographies of other actors who came off as jerks, so it's nice when a person I admire on-screen has admirable qualities off-screen.
