ugh wow i'm so glad i missed most of this? i did see a lot of NONONO HE'S NOT GAY as the story lead up to the reveal of his crush on jake though, when it was pretty obvious that things were headed in that direction.

i guess due to the people i interact with on tumblr, i'd thought the HS fandom was lacking in this sort of dudebro... i guess i was wrong :'( dirk is adorable!!

The desperate attempts to ignore the obvious were both fascinating and incredibly annoying. Everything from 'it's just IRONY!' to 'the AR wants Roxy to himself so it's spreading lies that he's gay.' Also a lot of people that loved Bro before that are now calling him boring and talking about how awful the character is. (Some of these people might legitimately find him boring. The timing however is highly suspicious, considering I didn't see many people complaining about him until the more blatant hints toward him being gay started.)
