Well, you can always reread some of yesterday. Why not read all the Americans gloating about not ever having to give a fuck about other cultures, because they're American? Oh, how they've suffered when occasional non-Americans in non-American fandoms have forced them to learn that not everywhere is exactly like America! How they will enjoy having yet another area where non-Americans can be mocked for not conforming to American culture. I believe phrases like "their tears will be delicious" were used.

Are you talking about the Sherlock thread? Because I gotta say, if you think taking pleasure at a little comeuppance for snotty Brits who whine about people who don't Brit-check as "not giving a fuck about other cultures," you have issues.

...you must be an idiot. I read that thread--there was only one person who seemed overly American-centric. Everyone else just seemed to think it would be funny to see fic about Sherlock have to be checked for Britishisms for a change (which is really actually quite funny, considering that users of British English are regularly dicks about this issue.)

Also, when someone thinks that SJW have to start defending an entire country, they need to turn their oppression switch to "off."

So does anyone still want a referral key to the Hawken closed beta?

Hawken is a free-to-play PC-only multiplayer mech combat FPS due out at the end of the year. Here's some slightly old gameplay footage to give you an idea of what the game will be like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVa7B1bLv8I

It runs on Unreal Engine 3 so you'll need at least a decent computer to play, though the lack of one won't necessarily preclude me giving you the key since I'm mostly just trying to get my own gamertag if I hand out enough referrals.
