Unfortunately, that's usually the case. Not always, of course, but a good portion of the yaoi I read tends to have characters who place sexual satisfaction above almost anything. More often than not, I figure that if the sex was extracted from their relationship the couples simply wouldn't last. And that's kind of sad.

Gosh, what I wouldn't give to read a nice, long, plotty yaoi-manga about an asexual character in a relationship with a sexual character.

I actually want more yaoi manga to be like FAKE; many volumes of UST, emotional connection and romance building up to sex as the climax.
We have more than enough smutty yaoi on the market now, so I'd just like to see the mangaka focus more on decent character and relationship development.
