On the other hand Sherlock may be a jackass but he wouldn't kill Molly.
That might have something to do with it. While Molly is coming to terms with the fact that Sherlock won't love her back she still cares for him and wants to help him when he's working for a good cause. And I think he cares about her too even if he's horrible at showing it. Light's not working for a good cause. Misa's morals are just as messed up as his.
I also happen to like the actress a lot.
