Word, OP. One of my favorite lyrics of her, one of many, is "I'm not your bitch, don't hang your shit on me." It's not just part of her image, that's her. She NEVER allowed herself to be cowed by backlash or puritanical judgements. She moves forward, always. I respect the shit out of that. The Express Yourself video they made from her Truth or Dare tour makes me feel so good when I watch it, because her power as a woman is fully realized, and there's no question she's the one in charge of her sexuality. It's something girls should emulate, because the woman is fucking fearless.

And I'm not even really a fan of her music.
