They're pretty different characters with completely different behaviours, but... I still think they're both obsessive, emotion-loaded idiots (as several people have said, Molly's actress is the saving grace for her enjoyability) and I agree with you, I don't see why fandom kept heaping Molly with love in season one. She grew a lot in season two, but she must still have major issues to continue adoring Sherlock after all his shit. I feel like the only reason people hate Misa but loved Molly is that a lot of fandom relate to Molly because she's plain/timid. And also because the rest of the women on Sherlock are even more grossly offensive, you have to take your chicks where you can get them.
