If you have a deviantart people most often will link directly to your account, I've gotten a good amount of pageviews that way. I also don't care if my fanart gets spread around because it's the stuff I do for fun.

But I do agree with what you're saying and I think if the person does not have the original source then they should not post the picture. I also wish people would TELL ME when they post my art on tumblr, I really don't care if they do I just want to know! Sometimes I'll do random image searches and find all these people I never even knew posting my stuff, and who knows who else is posting it since you can't find everything on a search.

dA needs some kinda ping back option. dA has this post to tumblr button that I use all the time and many of the artists have no idea that it's being used. That is why for a lot of my art, I'll post it on dA, then post it to my own tumblr and link it on dA saying if anyone wants to reblog it, use this post.

When you go to an art work, on the top right under add to faves and download. There will be a T for tumblr under the share section. It'll post the art work and the artist page
