^This is a terrible attitude to take. Because when it comes to art the thought that generally follows is.

No, I do see your point. I do. It's just always how I felt. I think it probably has to do with the fact that my first and main fandom is very fan-oriented. The authors/artists are never hesitant to dedicate stories to us, or just say things like "I write for you guys" and "thanks so much for the support" and stuff. It's like we all just work together to create this awesome place full of awesome things.

Not all the fandoms I'm in are like that, of course, but a lot of them are generally pretty friendly, and the authors/artists and the fans/misc-doers tend to have a pretty close relationship.

It may not be a well-thought-out frame of mind, but I seriously doubt she meant anything harmful by it. I think you and others have made your points perfectly clear, and she has acknowledged them. No need to continue dogpiling. I understand that it is a sensitive buzzword in fandom and what is one person's dogpiling is not another's, but I am of the opinion that you and several others are dogpiling.

Yes, if you want to know. I have had fans with that mindset and I pay no attention to it because, like others, I write only for myself.
