I hate missing unintentionally themed secret days :(

Especially if they're fandoms I even only lightly care about. It's like I miss out on the party of AW YEAH I KNOW THIS FANDOM all the freaking time.

I'm hardly finding any Valentine's fic this year for any fandom that I follow...except HP Snarry which I don't read.

Sure, but your fandom is scifi so there's naturally less earth custom stuff, right?

true but usually there is some way to work it in. Things like the crew celebrating Earth traditions to make others feel at home....stuff like that. Or while at Starfleet Academy on Earth....secret admirer, matchmaking, and cards. I haven't seen much this year. Then again it IS only the day after.

Sometimes, it seems like the more popular a show, the less present it is in fandom. Like Lost or Battlestar Galactica. They were both very mainstream but they have very small fandoms.
