Yeah, it's hard to tell from this what he actually thinks, and not wanting to date someone even though you care about them isn't inherently negative.

Still, either way she ought to seek out someone who does want to date her rather than wish he did... easy for me to say though.

Unrequited love? Been there. Done that. Didn't even stop and look at the t-shirts. Most of the time, the guy isn't what you're really looking for anyways. Easier said than done, but once you're over it, it's so freaking liberating.
