Anyone know when this is going to be released to the public? Last semi-concrete date I heard was last October, and every secret I see here keeps making me kick myself for not getting on the boat when they were handing out invites for the beta.

No idea and they've taken so long about it that I just don't care anymore.

It would have been a small novel experience to be "officially sorted" but now I just don't care and even mildly disgusted about how long they're taking about it as I'm sure a lot more diehard fans and kids do care.

You're not missing much at all. The only good part was the sorting. It was a different way to go about sorting, and I'm a bit curious why the question that were asked were chosen for the test. Tbh, the anticipation and parties on tumblr to get the correct answers for the beta testing slots were more fun than Pottermore.

No idea, and like random00 said, it seems like they don't know either, as nothing has changed since October. It's basically an interactive storybook. The art is nice, but there's not much to actually do. I felt sort of... "That's it?" Stopped going, because there was no reason to come back. Friends of mine who were going crazy from not being let in in August finally got let in later and were very disappointed.

So, unless they drastically change things, don't kick yourself because there really isn't a lot to miss.

lol I love how people are either really pissed about getting put in the "wrong" house, and protest how "wrong" the Pottermore sorting is, or they're like "I KNEW IT IT WAS DESTINY" when it gets it right.

I got into the house I wanted but it really is a load of bs. I know myself better than seven questions on the internet do. However, I was ecstatic that, against what seemed like all my friends thought, I had been put into Gryffindor and not Hufflepuff. And answering it honestly killed me especially when I knew I was picking a Hufflepuff-oriented answer.

When I heard about Pottermore sorting, I stocked up on popcorn and booze, expecting hordes of self-identified Slytherfen to wail about being sorted into Hufflepuff. Then I (who self-identify as Ravenclaw) got sorted into Gryffindor.

lol. I way identify with Ravenclaw, but the first time I got sorted I was a hatstall between Slytherin and Gryffindor. So I used one of my secondary accounts and totally pushed for Ravenclaw. I REGRET NOTHING
