Some of their stuff can be hit and miss. Personally I like the Hennimore sketches but loathe the Digby Chicken-Ceasar ones.

The Digby Chicken-Ceasar sketches seem really sad to me, not funny.

IA; I think some of the Digby Chicken-Caesar ones were pretty funny, especially the Red Nose Day sketch ("it's my arch-nemisis Sir Rupert du.... Bear"). But MAN some of them are sad. Like the one where Ginger turns his life around, is about to meet his kid, but BAM Digby Chicken-Caesar fucks it up.

Hennimore and Digby Chicken Caesar are pretty much their only sketches I don't like. They're kind of contrived and lack clear punchlines. But Digby does seem to be one of the popular ones.

does anyone like those sketches? they're awful. a lot of that programme is awful, it really shows why they usually have writers. and digby chicken-caesar is funny like, once.

Really? Do anons really dislike it that much? I wasn't sold on first viewing but now I listen to Sound and watch Look quite often.

The only one I find unfunny is 'let's go on a little date'; what don't you like about Hennimore?

I think Hennimore is kind of contrived... but that they know it's contrived, if it makes sense? Like, it's an exercise of "let's see how contrived we can make this sketch."

idk, while I love Mitchell and Webb, nothing on That Mitchell and Webb Look will ever compare to Angel Summoner and BMX Bandit for me. Favorite sketch on that show.

The whole point of that sketch is to make fun of stale office sit-coms. But yeah, I don't find it that funny, either.

Yeah, and they fail to realize that's only funny once. Then it's just as stale as the sitcoms they're mocking. In one of the asides they joke about how the show is 50% shit, and that's a pretty accurate assessment.

Welll, I liked Hennimore for a while, and then in what, season 4?, it was Hennimore every single bloody episode. I got tired of it then.

Then again, The Event has always been one of my favourites (apart from the Green Clarinet, nothing beats Green Clarinet :DD)

I agree with you,they're not my favorite. I guess I always think of that one "off camera" sketch where they're discussing the upcoming schedule of skits, "Hit, Miss, miss, hit, miss, hit, hit..." XD

But uh, can I tell you how psyched I am for a Mitchell and Webb secret? (I just marathoned Peep Show last week...)
