Yay! Fellow Koizumi fan! I feel your pain, OP. I don't actually ship anybody in this series, I just enjoy the complicated, sometimes vitrolic friendships the kids have. I've never looked into fandom so I don't know if what you're saying is true, but I know from other fandoms it can be very hard to find friendship fic about two cute boys (especially when one is as faaaaabulous as Koizumi ;) ). So yeah, your secret doesn't surprise me.

And...uh...if you find angsty!Koizumi fic, ummmm....let me know *ducks*

haha what a coincidence, i literally got into this show a few days ago because their relationship intrigued me after hearing my friends talking about them. why didnt i bother when it was all the rage? itsuki's my fave too :)

so far im pretty disappointed with the fandom too, i thought there'd be more...i don't know, finding good fic at all is proving hard, let alone anything introspective and/or platonic. But i havent been looking for long, so i'm no help;;. the kink meme has some surprisingly good fills but thats all pairings, of course.

i could even like the idea of a one-sided romance but idk if i can treat them as an 'otp' because i just cant see Kyon ever going there :| ever.

heh ngl the main reason i avoided it so long was because i'd seen some of the stuff spilling from this fandom in the passing when it was at its height and was like...no thanks.

all i ever saw was wank over pairings and characters, you could almost forget the paranormal aspect of the show.

I prefer them as friends too. They just have such a great dynamic together and there's not a whole lot of examples in fiction of a straight guy being best [platonic] friends with a gay guy even though from my own experience it's not that uncommon in real life.
