I love the both, but for completely different reasons. The characters aren't as.... I don't know, not as warm in the US version, but the writing is WAY better. The way they handled the "copycat" storylines from the UK version are all done so much better, and the show really shines when it goes its own way.

I wish we got more scenes with Sally, Josh, and Aidan together, though. A few more character driven bits. They don't really DO stuff together. The show seems so focused on vampire politics and grim reapers that it loses that closeness you get with Mitchell, Annie, and George.

Mitchell/Annie/Goerge being one big happy family was really the selling point of the show for me. A lot of them just enjoying their time together is the big tie in to the title/theme of the show.

Idk, there's a definite visceral/emotional reaction from me when I watch the UK version so I chose to stick with it. It doesn't have that same kind of magnetism I experienced in the UK version previews when I saw the few times I got a glimpse of the US version.
