No. B&TB is my favorite tale and OUAT usually well written, was just awful. It was lazy writing to once again cast Rumpelstilstkin in another role just to shock people when they have PLENTY of cast to use. It was rushed and hardly made sense in the established timeline (clearly set after 5given Geppetto's parents were on a stand in the dining room), the head writer bragged about her Rumpel lust on Twitter. It was sloppy and just, no. I don't like Belle being a Mary Sue, she was a pathetic shade of what Belle was.

That's all I have to say.

Different anon. I understand what you're saying, Rumpelstiltskin is one of my favorites on the show and I love Beauty and the Beast and I think that's part of the reason I was very disappointed by the episode. The twists in the episode were not as shocking as the writers may have thought, and it certainly didn't make up for the episode being poorly put together.

And Belle was also a disappointment for me, she had like no character to her, I know she'll probably return I just don't know if that will fix what was already done.

I have priorities but no one was more excited than me for the episode, for months I was in a gleeful fangirl heaven, until I saw it. It was so awful, thank the Lord everyone in my real life hated it as much as me.
