Series one Simon was a fantastic character, in a car-crash, I-can't-look-away sort of way. Belittled, overlooked, rejected - I looked at him and saw a teenage boy bottling up a lifetime of rage and who would probably snap one day and kill someone. Savagely. 'Bad vibes' aren't in it, he gave me the absolute chills at times. (like that scene where - was it Kelly? - was passed out in a stairwell. God that was disturbing.)

And I didn't mind super!Simon, he was fun. But he wasn't Simon, you know? It's almost funny - that armpit fetish sure disappeared in a hurry when the guy came in for an actual romantic subplot ;)

Yeah, I came to like Simon but I did think it was funny how quickly everyone and the show itself seemed to forget how creepy he could be.

All of this. Both characters were good (I liked original flavor Simon a lot more, but super Simon was fine), but the transition between them just...wasn't.
