The obviously fakey fake green-screened "Alaskan tundra" backdrop destroyed any desire I would have to see the movie, which is a shame because I'm a big Drew Barrymore fan and I have a gigantic crush on John Krasinski.

Hearing about this bullshit demonization of Natives though is just the final nail in the coffin.

When was the last time Barrymore was in something good?

The last one I remember liking was Music and Lyrics >_>;;

Whip It! It's about roller derby and she's kind of a side character, but she's fun and the movie is generally great (she also directed it).

Oh yeaaah, I did see that. From what I remember it was okay, but for some reason I didn't particularly care for it.

Still, 'twas awesome to see Barrymore, Kristen Wiig, Juliette Lewis, Ellen Page and Alia Shawkat all in one movie.

It's not fake. For once it's Real. The state took a big risk in trying to get Hollywood to come up here to film movie. This movie bite. Part of the contract for the tax breaks they got, was they had to film everything here in Alaska. It was enjoyable watching them run around the city and watching the news reports of the filming up in Barrow. The Natives enjoyed every minute of it, and when they had their privite screening everyone was happy with how it turned out.

So you can at less now know that wasn't fake green screen or filmed anywhere but Alaska.
