Yeah, seriously. I mean, I know he's the asshole racist (or one of them, I should say), but John Cullum's voice is so damn fabulous.

The voice, the flowery waistcoat, the smirk, the table dancing...

At least historically he wasn't actually any worse than the rest of them. And I kinda appreciated the fact that he called the North out on their participation in the whole thing.

Yeah he was pretty damn BAMF in Molasses to Rum. Anyhow, in the play he was just used to represent a whole lot of southerners.

(I also have some friends who never saw 1776 but really liked the John Adams miniseries. I liked it well enough, but I don't think Clancy o'Conner's Rutledge can quite compare to John Cullum's.) xDD
