Agreed. Rumple is not the Beast, so much as he's Gaston. He willingly gave Belle up- no, kicked her out, even- because he didn't want to lose his powers. He mourned losing her, yes, but I'm sure he would mourn his powers even more. It would be nice for him to have a happy ending, but ultimately he's still a 'villain'. Fairytale villains just don't get their happy-ever-afters.
Mr. Gold might get a happy ending, depending on what sort of path he'll follow as the series draws to a close, but Rumple? NOPE.
