Okay. Good. Its the fic I thought it was.


I got out of Sherlock fandom a loooong time ago when it started going a bit wonky for my tastes. But I came across that fic a few months ago when reading the author's not-fic blog. ...and when she linked to it and talked about how it was a 'rite of passage fic'.. I don't mind people squeeing, but it came across more 'LOOK AT WHAT I DID', It was awkward, and I started to read it and threw my hands in the air.

(To be honest, I am not sure why I read the author's blog anymore. I used to hardcore love her back in high school when I was reading her Harry Potter fic, but now that I am adult....I side eye her quite a bit. And wonder how I could have loved those fics so much)

Now I'm going to have to look for this, because I want to know if the author meant "rite of passage" for the characters, or the readers. (The latter, of course, being egotistic, while the former might be only descriptive.)

Well, maybe. I might get distracted and forget. I do that. A lot.
