If you really, really want to write it you could go original, and just make up your own characters who work on a show similar to Mythbusters.

AGREED. Just take their personalities and embellish them a little, change the names, switch genders, give them different faces... Law & Order does it all the time with their "ripped from the headlines" stuff. It doesn't really have to be RPF to be the same awesome concept.

I agree, 100%. But the funny thing is that I never, ever thought about that until I read this secret. But I agree. A Mythbusters zombie movie would be absolutely epic. I would definitely go see it. I would read the fic, too, but it would have to be absolutely perfect for me to appreciate it.
