I would do anything to read a GOOD novel where a love triangle turned into an actual polygamous relationship (i.e., threesome). Anything.

That would be awesome! And really fascinating to read if done well. Although barely any of my OT3s are canon love triangles: they're almost always canon couple + canon-platonic best friend, so that's the type of threesome I'd be most interested in reading about. Which is also probably why most of my OT3s are male/female/male. Why are there so few epic friendships between non-single women? Ugh, makes me sad.

Well, there is a series called Bedlam's Bard (first book is called Knight Of Ghosts And Shadows) where the three main characters get into a triad, but they don't stay there for the entire series, only (I think) the first three books, because after that one of them sort of grows apart from the other two who become a couple on their own and the other one lives a separate life on his own afterwards, but they all stay close friends. Don't know if that's what you were looking for, but it's the only one I can think of atm. They're kickass books anyway.

I'm planning on writing one! But the entire book is the kind which I'd wait until after I have some clout as an author before suggesting it to my agent/editor/publisher/whoever. My main character (female) needs a lot of support, and each of her 'potential mates' (one man, one woman) both have a lot of stuff going on and may not always be the best person for that support...but between the two of them, they've got her covered. And it takes the two of them to get the main character into a wedding dress, in my imaginary post-epilogue short story.

(In the mean time, maybe try White Collar fandom? One of my favorite things about the fandom is that an OT3 involving a married couple and the main character is the most popular 'ship in it and it's is generally much more open to polyamory, and even the show has subtext for all of this, rather than trying to force in any love triangles).

Knight of Ghosts and Shadows by Mercedes Lackey. Might not be your thing (modern fantasy) but that's exactly what happens in that book.
