Because not only is it infuriating on the fanfic end of things, but it's super-infuriating coming from an erotica and erotic romance writing standpoint. These fucking upper-end housewives are making it sound like it's some new and amazing thing that reading smut can "spice up the sex life tee hee hee". Meanwhile, the publicity this piece of dreck is getting is making THAT look like the norm for erotica, BDSM erotica, and erotic romance. And yeah - another strike there on the BDSM front. 50 Shades is so NOT what we need as a first-taste-look at the lifestyle.
