In all fairness to the girl, she probably was trodding a thin line between 'this is way WAY too much' and not wanting to hurt his feelings, etc. I know it took awhile for my significant other to hit a great stride for both of us, and that the turning point was when I learned to be okay with telling him what I was enjoying vs not.
