I dunno, I thought it was pretty possible to have a discussion about problematic aspects of media and fandom without devolving into a shouting match about who's more privileged than who and yelling at people that their input and experiences don't matter solely because they have more privilege than you, even when they're not privileged in the problematic area being discussed.
Also, "you sound insert-majority-group-here" is about as effective a counter-argument as "you used the wrong their/there/they're."
