DA, but...real life versus fiction and all that. I was just talking to a friend today about love triangles, and how in books, you're usually supposed to like the main character in that triangle. In real life? The reaction tends to be "just make up your mind, you selfish person you."

I personally like my fiction to rely heavily on the soul mates idea, one and one, but I don't carry that over to real life. I also have poly friends, and I'm not generally a jealous person, so I've even had open relationships that lasted a good while. Real life and fiction are separate things when it comes to preferences.
