Well Morgana didn't start out as an evil psycho, and there were awesome female characters in the beginning....theyt just all got killed off after season 1, whether physically or in terms of character assassinations...:/

Yeah, but that's my point. I really liked her before she went all batsh!t. I don't even mind the fact that she became evil--Morgan[a] is generally portrayed as an antagonist anyway. What bothered me really was the lack of development of her character. Which is a real shame 'cause she had the potential to be awesome.

And I never think much of the women who've died because a lot of men have died, too. The only ones who persistently survive are the more prominent knights (but isn't that a given?). And let's be honest-- there are hardly any women of importance in the original legends, or women that haven't been overshadowed by the men (understandable considering the period, though). And if there's one thing this series has going for it, it's that the characters are at least derived from the actual legend (though they tend to be butchered, but whatever).

Though at this point I'd probably welcome a kickass OFC. =/

...aaaand now I'm dying to read a BBC Merlin/Song of the Lioness crossover. Where did that even come from?
