Talking to any of my real life friends about fandom is problematic though, because I normally get:
a) the casual fan who doesn't really care about the characters and just watches whenever
b) a fairly decent fan, but doesn't understand my fangirl mode -> i.e "Why would you stay up that late to watch it?"
c) the intense fan of just one character/actor, and that it all she want to discuss >.>
d) someone who hates/doesn't understand appeal of fanfiction and makes unnecesary comments, which makes me sad...

And so I just learned to keep my excitement either online or in the privacy of my own room...
