Exactly! The entire history of Carlisle and the Volturi is fascinating, but it's all completely shoved to the side unless it needs to be brought up to back up some point for the main Bella/Edward story. I know I shouldn't expect much from the movies, but it has been irritating me that the Volturi have been given very little screen time. I don't expect the last movie to be any different even though they have a large part in it. It's going to get shoved aside from some Bella "omgatz-I'm-a-vamp-wat-do?" bullshit.
