yeahh I feel the same. I mean my closest friends that I have known for ages are all pretty fandom geeky so that's cool, but it's always a bit awkward when you meet other supposed fandom people irl... it just sort of feels strange because it's difficult to gauge just how geeky they are and you can just sort of end up going "i like this, it's so great!" and have them going "omg yeah me too!!!!" and then the conversation sort of ends there. =\
