I know, right? Literally no show makes me rage like Glee can (and like I said I barely watch it, I have zero investment in the characters and yet...) my b/f turns it on sometimes just to watch me go up like a volcano.

Obviously I spend no time around the Glee fandom but I've gotta figure that are some serious SJ issues discussed there, no? I did a quick google search once to see if I could find any online rants about the way Glee portrays certain things but came up pretty much empty-handed. So I don't know and I wasn't willing to read through anymore posts extolling the show's virtues. The media's coverage of Glee is gross but then again the media's coverage of most things is gross.

Take it from me then, who follows Chris's development but hate that he's still in Glee, EVERYTHING was handled offensively. In EVERY single episode. I cannot believe a show can suck so hard, but Glee defy all expectations. Don't even get me started on their stand against celibacy and virginity (frigid and stuck up!). Geez, I'd hate to know what their stand on asexuality. Probably even worse than House.

This. All day this. It's like the last word anyone needs to hear on the show.

I feel bad for you because y'know at least I don't give a crap about the characters so it only offends me in a general way; it must really suck to actually be invested and still get screwed in cruel and unusual ways every week.

I did see an episode once that dealt with celibacy and it revolted me so much I had to turn over. I'm sure they'll be whacking asexuality before long though, I mean why not? They've had a go at offending most other minorities.

And the House thing... yeah it blew and I hated it but somehow I think the way Glee deals with stuff is worse because I don't think there's that many young teens watching House and looking up to the main characters (IDK maybe there are) but I doubt it has the same teen audience as Glee and what kind of a fucking message is Glee sending out to these kids? Gross. Gross. Gross.

Sigh, the damnest thing is, it has so much potential, and the cast really bring their characters to life, but the producers got greedy with the iTunes sales and the writers try to pander to the tween demographic and they don't seem to even have any direction in mind...even the cast seems confused about the messy plots!

If you think the celibacy ep was bad, wait till you see how they handle bisexuality, homosexuality, teen pregnancy, slut-shaming, bullying and even suicide. If they can handle these topics with the sensitivity that they deserve then it's okay, but ffs they're just horrible and tacked-on to pull in the crowd. And everything gets automatically solved with a musical number >_< I keep getting more and more horrified with each passing episode. I daren't even think about the mixed-messages kids will get from this show.

Oh, there are plenty of rants about how offensive Glee can be if you look in the right places. I've seen and participated in plenty of discussions about it.
