(Anonymous) 2012-03-13 05:58 pm (UTC)(link)This! It's a little silly, but it's silly on both sides so it works. Also, I think part of what we like about Merlin and Arthur is that they are so clueless. I kind of like the implication that dumb luck saves Camelot more than anything else.
I like the OP's idea for a show, but I think it would have to be a different show with a radically different tone to it. (If nothing else, better CG effects - bad CG is okay in a show where they don't need to be that menacing, but if you want people to take things seriously, bad CG can shatter a story and really pull the audience out.)
