Any particular reason why? The silhouette thing they used for him in the game was really generic, and I could never really form a mental picture of how he looked.

The only thing I have to say about him? Uncreative name choice! I crack up every damn time, come on Joseph Writer, see funny! Okay ... I fail....

That's SH4 for you -- surprisingly disappointing!

But Joseph is shown in the game without a silhouette (he's the head coming out of the ceiling near the end) so I'm not sure why you thought that for so long, unless you stopped playing before you got to that, or built up a really strong mental picture from the notes. Except the opening scene, his ceilinghead and that file are the only real times he physically shows up, and they both indicate whiteness.
