I heard reports of a six-hour cut. What, Malick didn't think he'd included enough footage establishing that Brad Pitt is 1) an exceptionally tight-assed version of the stereotyped 50s father, and 2) is disappointed with his life? I rather liked the dinosaur sequence, it was all the lingering on the father that drove me out of the theater.

Six hour cut :O - did they miss some bacteria shots or something? Oh and more daddy shots? I felt that most of the actor sequences were face close ups at various angles and not really portraying any emotions. The dinosaur scene was um ... out of place, but then again nothing made sense for me in this film xD .
