I don't agree with the wording of this secret, but I, too, do find a certain comfort in the idea of the time when we won't exist anymore. Not so much as something that anyone deserves or doesn't, but simply as a part of the cycle of life. There is something terribly beautiful (and frightening) in the thought that there will be a day when all of our deeds, bad and good alike, have been erased and it'll be like we never existed at all. And all our constructs crumbling away and plants growing from the cracks in the pavement.

(The book The World Without Us also handles this subject and gives a few rather beautiful examples of places that have been left untouched where this development is underway.)
