I think at least part of that may be that we're oversaturated on them; like, we see the trailers, and then there's gifs and picspams and icons of the same dialogue over and over and it gets really old really quickly.

yes, but everyone has a personal cheesy scale ranging from awesomely cheesy to cringe-worthy cheesy.

imo, spider-man 2's dialogue was awesomely cheesy. fantastic four 2's dialogue was cringe-worthy cheesy. iron man 2's was acceptably cheesy.

Yeah, I agree. The dialogue from the new Spider Man trailer was like "fuck yeah! awesome cheesy"

But the Avengers trailers are just kinda cringy cheesy...

I'll reserve my judgement for the movie, but the promotions for the avengers have not been that fortunate.
