I love me some Castleville and all but I need to spend time away from it.The whole tiny energy quota for one thing. And things take time. I start some iron, go to work, come home and done!

Besides, how does one just randomly quit a job and go on disability? Don't you have to have a disability for that?

Anyway, maybe instead of lying to family and friends, you should come clean so they can help you. That's what they're there for, to love and support you when you need it. Castleville will only work for so long.

Have a medically documented disability AND be persistent- I don't know what the percentage is in other countries, but in IIRC the US something like 70% of applicants who eventually get accepted are turned down initially.

My hunch is that OP is either a troll or worded things really poorly.

Yeah, the process to get approved usually takes awhile if you're in the US, too. Like, sometimes years. It's not really something you have access to automatically when you quit your job.

You know, I was reading an article in Time yesterday about how psychiatrists are rewriting the book on diagnosing mental illness (again). Some (many?) psychiatrists proposed classifying "internet addiction" as a mental illness (as in, spending so much time playing online games or tweeting or whatever that it interferes with your life), but apparently not enough research on the subject has been done to make it official yet.

Anyway, if you know you have a problem you might want to seriously consider seeking counseling if you can. :( Maybe there's an underlying issue?

Good Goddess this. I have an ankle with limited movement and severe arthritis now because I was denied enough time off to have physical therapy and heal properly after I broke it in an accident(work-related, no less) that required several metal pins be inserted into the bones just to hold it together. Then I got fired the next year for 'not working enough hours the previous fiscal period", to boot.

If it's true, then fuck this person.
