Considering American media is the only thing most people in other countries use to evaluate my country, I think my butthurt is entitled.

You're really pissed that someone thinks another country's television is better than American television?

No, I'm pissed about the blanket statement. It wasn't given as an opinion, it was given as a fact, like no British television show is ever not better than an American television show. People who honestly believe that are pretty rare, which means I read it as Britain > America.

No it wasn't. "I generally think that x is better than y" does not equal "every single example of x is better than y always". I means, "sometimes y is better, but as a whole, I prefer x."

But then, you must be a troll or ... well, I don't know, a hilariously butthurt person, if you seriously think that someone saying they think British television is better than American means that they think Britain is better than America. Is there absolutely nothing more to the country than the popular entertainment they produce? Does that correspond to their worth? I mean, what if someone prefers French or Chinese cuisine? They're totally saying that France/China is a better country, right? Also, it seems that you think that American television is clearly better than British (or any else, for that matter, but then, other countries don't really exist, eh?).

(Also, just to hurt you more, believe it or not, some people do prefer UK to the US as a country. Some even prefer Russia or Luxembourg or South Africa. So please don't ever travel anywhere, please.)

So what are your thoughts on Icelandic television? Or Icelandic _____? What is it about Iceland that's better than anything anywhere else and no one is allowed to ever criticize since that's the only thing most people know about Iceland? How about Andorra? San Marino? Vanuatu? Montenegro?

Be happy there is something about your country that foreigners know and are interested in (maybe even like the most of all!), instead of whining that it's unfair for anyone to find it less than perfect. Unless you have an objective study on why nothing is better than American media, please do point me to it?

And no, your butthurt is not entitled. Your self-entitlement is the only thing showing.
