Lol, MTE. Maybe it was a secret because anytime they mentioned it they got responses like this. Or people trying to argue with them why they were wrong, which is an incredibly common and annoying part of fandom.

I don't think they're wrong for liking the characters that they do. It's just a really dumb "secret". I like some popular characters and not other popular characters! Like... I just don't get the point of this secret.

My guess is that they've probably gotten shit from friends or other people in fandom about it in the past? A lot of the secrets that don't really seem like they really should be "secret" seem to stem from that.

How do you know they haven't gotten a lot of crap thrown at them in the past for liking those characters? Maybe they're just more sensitive about it then you?

I don't understand why it's your job to decide what secrets do and do not have worth.
