I miss the way it was too. I generally am a fan of Jennifer Coolidge, but adding her character to the show just made zero sense and brings nothing to it.

Same here, OP. It WAS a perfectly crappy but watchable show with a few good laughs per episode (outside all of the racist/try-hard etc "jokes") and then they had to throw Jennifer Coolidge in the mix. I didn't think it was possible to ruin something that's already enjoyably shitty, but you're totally right. Ruined.

I feel like everyone who hates her in the show never really liked the show to begin with. I don't think she adds anything to the show per say, but basically, I watch the show only because of her.

I fucking hate this show anyway. In the only episode I saw, one of the customers asked if there was anything gluten free on the menu. She was told that "you're not gluten intolerent, you're just trying to mask your eating disorder". No, fuck you show.
One of my best friends has coeliac disease, and if she has even trace amounts of gluten, she's sick for at least a month.
She hates it, and seeing this show making light of her condition as though it doesn't exist is fucked.

Yeah, it's fucked, especially considering that gluten intolerance is pretty common (about 6% of the entire population has it, I'd say that it's pretty common). It's a fucking medical condition, just like diabetes.
The other episodes are just as insensitive...

I enjoy the show personally - but I don't exactly expect it to be the height of wit, or overly sensitive either. I don't hate that character either. I do think she can be annoying, and over the top, and doesn't usually add much to the show...but she's not even on screen that much, so it seems a little silly to get that upset one way or another.
