(Anonymous) 2012-03-30 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)Yeah, I wish we got to see more of him, too. I was super curious about him pretty much from the moment I saw him, I wanted to find out more about him and was pretty sure he'd be my favorite... and then he went boom. Drat. : P
My top favorite is Ace, but Seven comes pretty close, and it really sucks how little recognition he gets. I mean, the guy is awesome and should definitely get more attention. And where's the Seven/Lotus fanstuff, dammit? D:

(Anonymous) 2012-03-31 12:33 am (UTC)(link)Yep, more than once and through all endings (aside from the coffin one because the Safe Ending was the first one I got, so I was lucky enough to be spared that one: getting it would have probably annoyed the hell out of me. XD)
So I know who he is, what role he had and stuff, but - vague - background info is one thing, while seeing him actually interacting with the other characters throughout the game would have been a lot more fun to me. Not that I can complain - the plot kinda needed him to die to work - but I still wish I could see that.
Eh, good question. He's not exactly my favorite, but he comes near enough (and I get the distinct feeling my second favorite would actually be Nijisaki is only he even HAD a role to play as a living character, however small XD)
I guess I just tend to like characters who had a lot of potential - at least in my opinion - and get little to no chance to exploit it. Kubota was struck me as that kind of character. And yeah, I was also interested in his overall behavior in the little screen time he had and would have loved to see how he would behave through the actual game.
...
...you know, thinking about it, maybe the fact he had so little screen time has a hand in this. I do tend to like characters with plenty of blanks one can have fun filling through fanwork or headcanons. XD So who knows, maybe I wouldn't have liked it THAT much had he actually lived through the game. My brain works in odd ways.

And I agree with you, the game totally deserves a bigger fandom.
As for Clover, she's awesome. I was really glad to know she's going to be in the sequel.
