These secrets never fail to confuse me even though I understand rape fantasy. If it's wanted, it's not rape.

Is "I want to engage in a rape fantasy with this character" or some variation thereof really that difficult to say instead?

Because one implies 'I would like to engage in a consensual encounter with this person that involves a role playing scenario' which promotes a healthy sexuality in which both partners are aware of what they enjoy and are able to do so in a safe way, while one implies 'lol rape is sexy' which promotes the idea that we, as a society, should become desensitized to real issues of sexual assault and abuse because people are too ignorant to understand the deeper consequences to their words.

Eh, I'd say that if it's consensual, it's not rape. I guess I like to make a distinction between wanting/liking sex and consenting to have it, because the usually go in hand but aren't really the same thing. And I guess it's a pet peeve of mine when characters are raped but it's treated okay because they decide in the middle of it that they like it. No, their consent was still violated.

I doubt the OP would actually want to have their consent ignored, though..
