I too was scared off for a bit by the love triangle advertisements - but I was pleasantly surprised by the books and it wasn't as prevalent as I thought it would be. I haven't seen the movie yet so I can't comment on it.
It's all Katniss POV too, so a lot of it's her thoughts on how to survive, how others can survive, what Katniss is doing and - yeah sometimes thoughts of confusion about the guys which I can't blame her for, but thankfully not her thoughts 24/7. So you can gloss over them if you want.
(Although I loved her playing the crowd with Peeta for the sponsorship. Felt kind of bad for Peeta, but hey it kept them both alive. Fast thinking? /not a shipper for any pairing in THG)
