Maybe there's something you'd really like to see but you can't find it. Why not ask for help? It might be out there! Or maybe there's something you really loved reading and you want someone to geek over it with. Why not rec it to someone else? Maybe they'll love it too! Who knows, someone out there might be looking for something that sounds exactly like someone you know just created.

Can anyone rec me fics about arranged marriage in which the two parties don't fall in love but settle into a comfortable friendship or team up and use their marriage as a tool to advance the politics they support etc.? Absolutely any fandom is fine.

AJ Hall's Queen of Gondal (http://archiveofourown.org/series/14837) series might be exactly what you're looking for. Political intrigue, murders, growing respect and friendship between parties to an arranged marriage without any hint of romance. It's a fusion between the Bronte children's Gondal universe and BBC Sherlock, but you can read it without knowing either one.

Well it's not a marriage (more like a partnership), but the ending to this fic has exactly what you're looking for. It's an original vampire fic, and it has both het and slash in it (mainly slash).
