I love Cas. I think I prefer him to the Winchesters at times, though if he was in every episode, his value might be lost. Annoying fans, however, are the reason that people who may even enjoy Cas become embittered to him. When there was that stupid poll going on an obsessed fangirls kept PMing people to vote, I was pissed off - and this from a Dean/Castiel shipper. Then, yesterday, twitter and tumblr were rampant with 'I'm not going to watch this ep because Cas isn't in it, I hate this character because he's not Cas and his presence takes away from Cas, blahblahwhinenag', posts. If you would STFU, I'm sure less people would complain. :P

I love him, too, and I agree he probably wouldn't be as great if he were in every single episode. And fans who go overboard with anything are annoying, really. The everything-must-be-about-Cas-and-only-Cas people are just as annoying as the if-your-favorite-character-is-not-a-Winchester-you're-doing-fandom-WRONG people.

Lol, I totally know what you're talking about with the poll PMs, too. I LOVE Dean/Cas, but seeing that and the general attitude totally put me off voting.
