In the rules, it even says "your "image" can be something as simple as plain old typed words on MS Paint"

then that rule needs to change, its as boring as fuck to see a text only secret. I never read them. it takes about 3 seconds to put text on a picture, there are websites that'll do it for you if you don't want to do it yourself FFS. Just shows contempt for the readership and other contributers who did manage 3 seconds to use a pic.

What about when the secret applies to a wide number of fandoms, or when it's about the phenomenon of fandom in general rather than a particular series, or when the OP doesn't want to specify the fandom (too small, makes the OP's identity obvious, whatever)? Would you prefer a completely irrelevant picture to no picture at all?

I agree with the secret that said a picture of John Simm was always relevant, and would like to expand that comment to include Sean Bean, Jack Davenport, Amber Benson ... the list goes on, but I think you get the point.

my only problem with wall-of-text secrets with no picture is that since i don't know what it's pertaining to, i have to read a bit of it to find out if i even care. but i'm not really going to complain about it, cause it's not that prevalent.
