Oh, I think it could be done, if people wanted to. Anthropomorphize the robots, write about rivalries between teams, make up their own competitions. It's possible.

I was giving a personality to our robot and she couldn't even do anything (no shooting, we almost had a mechanism to knock the bridge our way...), so maybe it's not too impossible! It might...be kind of fun, actually.

I actually wanted to hop on here to add that I'm not sure I could take more pretentious Robotics jackasses. I have to be around them all the time at school and that's enough time for me.

Totally not worth it. I tried it out for college (I decided not to go to that particular one in the end anyways) but it was hard to have fun because I was as nice as could be trying to get to know everyone (I sincerely wanted to be friends with everyone..) and they all gave me this vibe they were too good to talk to me so whatever. There was only one kid who was legit nice though.
